Hacienda Alvarado, was a meeting point of two mexican history figures: Mr. Agustin de Iturbide on july 1821 and Benito Juárez on july 5th of 1867 (on his way to Mexico City).
Hacienda Alvarado was the site of the battle of Sitio de Querétaro on july 1867 chosen as a camp for being strong and “too picturesque” when the northwest army intervened.
